We did not have hunters for the opening week.  We had previously seen this buck & on opening day there were local hunters making drives near his core area.  So we decided to go hunt him before they either ran him out or killed him.   We got lucky on Oct. 6th 1999 & one shot killed him at 200 yards on the first day it had rained.
